Reading Camelback 4-6-0 608 at the Route 202 grade crossing at Chalfont, PA 1935 on the Doyletown Branch of Reading RR.
Photo by George Hart. George Hart runs Steam and Diesel trips out of Jim Thorpe Penna. He is now 85 years old (2004). He gave me these pictures about 45 years ago after I met him on the Iron Horse Rambles.

Special Steam trip to WAshington Dc from Philly on The B&ORR in Aug 1964.
No2100 at Washington DC Union Station For B&O Days.
For me it was an unbelievable trip and the reason is that when I left the Army in July of 1963, I told a friend in Washington, that I would not come back unless the 2100s ran there. In Aug of 1964 the 2100 ran to Washington on the B&O Steam Days

Central of New Jersey RR Fan trip to Mt.Hope Mine in 1950 with no 814 (4-6-2).
Most of the mine equipment still in place at closed mine in Rockaway New Jersey. This mine still has over a mile of very rich Magnitite Iron ore very deep in underground mines. It is to expensive to remove this Iron ore which is very rich 60% iron.
The mine has run from 1715 to 1976. It served the USA from the Revolutionary war to Korea. George Washington visited it in 1776.
