Trolley Square Former UL&R car barn converted into a mall in 1974.
In 30 years it has changed, no more Bamberger Electric Brill Bullet car and a make believe street car on UP trucks in front of the building.
I was there in 1974, I misplaced the pictures that I had from 1974.

CB&Q (Burlington Route) (4-8-4) 5633 at Douglas, WY. Model O-5 built around 1040.
Rumored to be a possible candidate for restoration to operation. It was built by CB&Q West Burlington Shops in Iowa.

Regretfully these are not Steam Locomotives. However this would be the most smoke and steam seen in the Bay since the start of diesilization. So I thought you might enjoy seeing this.

BR/LNER A-4 4-6-2 "Dwight Eisenhower" on a Car Float at Jersey City, NJ.
I took this picture Spring of 1964 on the CRR of NJ Communipaw Station yard of the Central RR of New Jersey. The A-4 was on a car Float,which it been put on when it was unloaded from a ship that brought it to New York City from England.
It pulled General Dwight Eisenhower's command train in England during the second world war.
It was unloaded and the B&O towed it west, eventully it moved to Green Bay, WI. and the National Railroad Museum. Its number is BR 60008 (LNER).
It is a sister engine of "Mallard," the fastest steam locomotive in the world.

Taken in 1974 at Salt Lake City Utah, UP 4-8-4 No. 833 which was moved to Ogden Utah.
It is a sister engine of 844 which is the only Class 1 RR steam engine which has never been retired in the USA.

1912 Cagney Bros 15 inch gauge locomotive at Strasburg RR Sept 2004.
This Cagney was built in Jersey City, NJ, others were built in New York City.
They were built in various gauges, mostly for amusement parks.
